Listening to music during exercise can give you a better workout in several ways. It can increase your endurance, boost your mood and can distract you from any discomfort experienced because, music releases endorphins - our natural 'feel good' hormones that lift our mood and give us motivation to carry on longer with exercise during your workout.

As mentioned before, music has the power to do so much. It can make you feel happy, sad, excited or even pumped up. Listening to music that hits you in a special way causes your brain to release dopamine which is known as a feel good chemical. It causes us to feel emotions like happiness, excitement, joy, etc. Listening to music provides us with the same burst of happiness that we would get from eating a piece of chocolate, sex or certain drugs.

“One study showed that if people actively participated in making music by playing various percussion instruments and singing, their immune system was boosted even more that if they passively listened”
